Debbie Conover
I was born and raised in the North West and am currently living in Arizona. Growing up, I developed a deep love for the outdoors, and that passion continues to influence my life and artwork to this day. Nature plays a major role in my art, constantly inspiring me.
My art journey began during a particularly traumatic period in my life. I discovered that art has the power to heal, offering a positive outlet that helped pull me out of a dark place. As I learned to sketch and then paint, I found myself drawn to the beauty and intricate details of our planet. This growing appreciation for nature not only helped me heal back then, but continues to nurture me now.
Along the way, I had the privilege of being mentored by master artists and taking several courses at the Scottsdale Artists' School in Scottsdale, Arizona. Maxine Johnston, one of the original founders of the Scottsdale Artists' School, was my first instructor and mentor. She spent countless hours teaching me light and color theory, as well as guiding me on how to build a career in the art world. Maxine remains a major influence on my work today. I also took classes from Hedi Moran and Joni Falk, and I credit these incredible women with helping me find my true love for art and my unique style.
I'm deeply grateful for the inspiration and support I receive from my family, friends, clients, and collectors. Their encouragement has given me the courage to keep learning and doing what I love.
“Thank you for visiting my website and viewing my art work. I hope my art brings you as much joy as it has given me through the process of creating it.
If you have ideas for a painting you would like to see in my style or if you would like to commission your very own work, please contact me as I would love to work with you!”
